A different view of the legend of the dream catcher (Visit this link)

The Dream Catcher is said to be from Lakota or Chippewa legend. The legend says that having the dream catcher where you sleep will allow good dreams to come through and bad dreams are stopped. I have spoken to other Lakota who are experts on Lakota cosmology, oral tradition, and legends. From all the information I have there was no such capability imparted to dream catchers in Lakota tradition. From my own knowledge the dream catcher would not have been given this attribute of stopping dreams by Lakotas. All dreams may have value to us. To stop this flow is something you might not want to do. Iktomi the spider , the trickster of Lakota oral tradition is something else again! There is a story that goes like this:
